Pesto is sooo good, my food processor is leaking so I'm not game to make it, but we were blessed with a delicious jar full from our neighbour. Everything tastes better with pesto.
I need to get my pesto making skates on before the weather gets too cold. Fab stuff isn't it?
I love basil pesto and managed to freeze quite a few iceblock-trays full. I'll struggle to use it all, so will pass a lot on to my daughter when she visits. I've read varying opinions on how long it will keep in the freezer. What's your opinion?
Not sure Nina, but isn't most food OK for six months? (but not meat which I think is 6 months?)
I think I'm just about pesto'd out! goodness I have never eaten so much of the stuff this season. I used the last 1/2 cup along with some goats cheese in savory muffins, they have gone into the freeza to enjoy on a cold miserable winter's day.
